Terms of Service

By using HogPDF you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you can accept them for that organisation. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

HogPDF is a set of document tools that run in your browser: editing and signing PDFs, converting to and from Word, merging, splitting and compressing. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

Your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to HogPDF. They remain yours. HogPDF takes no ownership of them and no licence to use them.

You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to use them. Do not use HogPDF to unlock, edit or convert a document you are not allowed to open or change.

Previewing a result is free. Downloading the finished document costs Ksh 10, or Ksh 5 a document when you pay with prepaid credit in an account. Prices are in Kenya shillings and are shown before you pay.

Payments are taken by Paystack, by card or M-Pesa. HogPDF never sees your card number or M-Pesa PIN. A payment unlocks the download you paid for, once.

An account holds prepaid document credit for an organisation. One credit pays for one document in any HogPDF tool and is used when the document is downloaded. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what is done through your account, including by people you add to your organisation.

Credit is not money, cannot be withdrawn or transferred outside your organisation, and is not refunded once bought, except where the law requires it or HogPDF took a payment in error. If a payment went through but your download or credit did not arrive, write to HogPDF and it will put it right.

Do not use HogPDF to:

• break the law, or infringe someone else's rights;
• forge, falsify or alter documents to deceive anyone;
• get around payment or any other control;
• attack, overload or probe the service, or scrape it at scale.

HogPDF may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why where it can.

HogPDF works to keep the tools accurate and available, but they are provided as they are. Conversions, especially from scanned pages, can contain mistakes, so check the result before you rely on it or send it on. HogPDF does not promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, HogPDF is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profit, and its total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid HogPDF in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

HogPDF may update these terms and will change the date above when it does. If a change is significant it will say so on the site. Using HogPDF after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya can hear any dispute. How HogPDF handles personal data is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie notice. Questions about these terms: privacy@hogpdf.com.
